About WEASC
We are wastewater professionals—engineers, plant and collection system operators, utility managers, and product suppliers—all dedicated to protecting South Carolina's water environment.

The Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC) serves more than 3,000 members in 10 districts across our state. Our purpose is to serve those whose vocation is the protection and preservation of the water environment, and by extension, to serve all those who enjoy the waters of South Carolina for recreation or refreshment.

WEASC is affiliated with the Water Environment Federation (WEF), a not-for-profit technical and educational organization of 34,000 individual members and 75 affiliated Member Associations (like WEASC) representing water quality professionals around the world.

The WEASC works closely with the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association (SCAWWA), which serves drinking water professionals, and together we are known as the South Carolina Water Associations.

WEASC carries out a large part of its mission through the work of its committees. If you're interested in getting involved with one of our committees, contact us!
