Celebrate clean water, Saturday, August 27, 2016 - 10AM-2PM at Riverfront Park in Columbia! The Summer Celebration of Water is a free family festival which includes paddle sports, water slides, and fun for all ages.
The City of Columbia, Lexington County and Richland County are excited to announce the seventh annual Summer Celebration of Water Festival! Our stormwater teams will host this free family friendly event at Riverfront Park in Columbia on August 27, 2016, from 10AM-2PM. The goal of this event is to build stewardship and appreciation of the wealth of water resources we have here in the Midlands.

Festival activities include canoeing, kayaking, tubing, stand-up paddle boards, water slides, fishing demos, kid's activities, story time, food, and much more. Located at Columbia's scenic Riverfront Park, the festival gives families the opportunities to try out paddle sports and other water recreation on the Columbia Canal. Local watershed organizations and non-profits will be there with activities for the kids and information about protecting local rivers, streams and lakes.

This event is in partnership with the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association.
